Discussion | Look to God with Expectation

Bradon: you are here listening to the discussion questions for the episode Look to God with Expectation

Jon: In our story we met a lame beggar, struggling to live his day-to-day life. He sat outside of the temple, each day. Peter and John took notice of the man and gave him an amazing gift. They healed him! Immediately the man entered the temple and began to worship and praise God for the gift!

Story Episode
Acts 3

Questions

  1. Like the beggar experienced from others entering the temple, are there people in your life you walk past, ignore, or turn a cold shoulder to?
  2. Peter and John are able to heal the man, perform a miracle just as Jesus did before them. Why do you think they were able to do this?
  3. What can you be praising God about this week?

Growth Tip

Bradon: I think today, Jumping off of our lesson from the story we need to ask God for something specific.

Jon: Sometimes it is hard to pray for ourselves, or ask for things from God. But we can look to Him with expectation and ask.

Bradon: Focus on one thing. All week. Think big or small.

Jon: Think of it as an offering to God. Bringing Him the desires of your heart the things on your mind!

Bradon: You may not see an answer, or feel resolve, but just like the beggar we can be persistent in our ask and expectation.

Prayer Requests

At the end of your discussion, go around the group and ask for prayer requests.
