About the Story

Bradon: Me too!

Jon: We really do have a great audience!

Bradon: Maybe the best. I don’t know a whole lot of other audiences… but yes, ours is the best!

Jon: Okay, before we pick a fight with another podcast, let’s move on to the story for today.

Bradon:  Awesome! So today, Jon I would like to ask you a few questions, sort of interview style? Sound fair.

Jon: No it doesn’t sound fair! You gave me zero warning!

Bradon: Ohh well… we will continue on… as they always say, the show must go on!

Jon: Oh brother! Great, I am ready if the questions aren’t too hard!

Bradon: I Promise you will be great at this! I will make you look good!

Application

Bradon: I thought I was supposed to be the one asking questions? Well, this passage in Matthew comes right after a bit about worry. It speaks about the power and grace of God and asks us the question if God takes care of the birds in the sky and the animals on the ground, will he not then provide for us?

Jon: A big question.

Bradon: And if God is who we say He is, and who He says he is. Then simply, that is something to be grateful for. I get that life sometimes doesn’t seem to have a silver lining, and perhaps it doesn’t. I am not saying that bad things don’t happen or that life is easy.

Jon: You’re saying that regardless of the bad, complicated and overwhelming things, there is still something to be thankful for?

Bradon: Precisely, We have to understand that as Christians, this world, the world we live in now, the present time won’t always make sense. It won’t be fair, it might not even be good. But as we have said before God understands and recognizes things far bigger than us. We do not have to worry about all those things, and gratitude even in the worst of times can be possible if we seek God first each and every day. Giving Gratitude for God’s Provision helps me seek the kingdom, it helps me remember the goodness of God and his love for me.

Jon: I think that is one of those things that is easier said than done, but I appreciate, as you said at the beginning the newness that September brings, even in the things that seem easier to say and harder to accomplish we are able to refocus and try again, or change technique or just give thanks for the growth that we have seen!

Bradon: That is right! This actually leads me right into today’s Growth Tip!
