Discussion | Love your enemies
Jon: You are listening to the discussion episode for the story, Love Your Enemies.
Bradon: Today, we learned about David saving a town from the Philistines and Saul chasing David and trying to kill him. Saul was an easy target when he went to the bathroom in the same Cave David was hiding in. David cut off a corner of Saul’s robe, proving that he was not trying to kill Saul. David is an example of a person who loved his enemies.

Questions
- Jon: Is there a person who hurts your feelings or isn’t very nice to you? How do you want to respond to such a person?
- Bradon: David avoided his enemy Saul, which was wise considering Saul was trying to kill David. How do we know when it is good to avoid our enemy, and when do we know it is good to show kindness to our enemy?
- Jon: There can be many emotions that we feel when someone hurts us. What could serve you as a reminder to talk to God about the issue first?
