Discussion | Let Your Faith Lead

Bradon: You are listening to the discussion episode Let your Faith Lead

Jon: Today we learned about David – the future king who would eventually replace Saul. We learn David is a small humble boy, who is the youngest of seven brothers. David, through the will of God, is anointed to be king and finds his way to work for Saul after Saul is having difficulty sleeping due to a harmful spirit. David plays the lyre and is hired as the armour-bearer for Saul.

Story Episode
1 Samuel 16

Questions

  1. Bradon: Where do you think your faith is leading you currently?
  2. Jon: What do you think a young man like David might be thinking after he was told he would eventually be King?
  3. Bradon: Why is it hard to let our faith lead?

Growth Tip

Bradon: So, growth tip for today – ask someone a question. We learn from asking about things we don’t know. So, find a question you have about faith and ask someone you think could bring some insight into it!

Jon: great idea! Find a pastor, parent, or mentor who is a little more mature in their faith – Don’t be afraid of the question, just an honest question of something you have been wondering! Maybe it will open up a great conversation.

Bradon: remember everyone can respond differently to these things. They may need time to answer a question you ask. Give them time and be patient!

Prayer Requests

At the end of your discussion, go around the group and ask for prayer requests.
