Discussion | Love Does Whatever it Takes

Jon: Get ready for a discussion about the concepts shared in the episode Love Does Whatever it Takes.

Bradon: We read 1 John 4:7-21 and introduced four concepts. First, we learned that Love comes from God! Second,  when we love, we have love living in us – God living in us. Third, with God or love living in us, we do not need to fear God’s judgement. Fourth, hate is not of God.

Jon: We realized that love – God will do whatever it takes to connect people to each other and to God.

Story Episode
1 John 4 7-21

Questions

  1. Bradon: What are some aspects of Love that you enjoy? Don’t think about the emotion; rather, reflect on the actions of love.
  2. Jon: I am going to flip the last question. What aspects of Love are really hard? Again, think about love as something we do.
  3. Bradon: God’s love will do whatever it takes to connect people to each other and to God. Do you have any relationships that need repairing? What can you do?

Growth Tip

Bradon: Love will always move us to action. We want you to love well this week.

Jon: It will do whatever it takes to repair broken relationships and connect people to each other and God

Bradon: Name one or two things this week that you could do to love well.

Jon: Remember these should be actions that will help people connect well with each other and God and don’t just name them do them because love is an action.

Prayer Requests

At the end of your discussion, go around the group and ask for prayer requests.
