Discussion | A Change of Heart

Jon: You are listening to the discussion prompts for the episode, A Change of Heart.

Bradon: Our Episode today spoke about Simon a magician who believed the disciples and what they were sharing about Jesus, but needed to be called out by peter for the wickedness in his heart. He then repented of his sin and asked them to pray that he would not be wicked any longer.

Story Episode
Acts 8:4-40

Questions

  1. Think about yourself from one year ago, How have you changed?
  2. What change has been good? What change has been difficult or challenging?
  3. Where do you need God to show up in your life?

Growth Tip

Bradon: Growth tip time! A time when we share a tip or trick that we think will help you, and us grow in a relationship with Jesus!

Jon: Do five minutes of nothing each day this week.

Bradon: ugh that sounds scary.

Jon: and by do nothing I mean just be still, sit in a room, or on a bench, don’t specifically pray, or journal, or go in with a thought. Just sit there and enjoy the time.

Bradon: so like, no phone calls, or texts, or reading…

Jon: Nope, just be still and open to whatever comes up.

Bradon: scary, BUT I guess that’s why they call them growth tips and not easy tips.

Jon: exactly. It is meant to stretch you and help you grow! Let us know how it goes for you, find us on Instagram @biblestorypod

Prayer Requests

At the end of your discussion, go around the group and ask for prayer requests.
