Discussion | A Privilege to suffer for Christ
Jon: You are listening to the questions for the episode “A Privilege to suffer for Christ.”
Bradon: We learned that the disciples continued to heal the sick through the power of Jesus and share the message of Jesus even though the religious leaders warned them not to speak about Jesus any longer. In the end, they were flogged and warned again to stop spreading the message about Jesus. After their brutal whipping, they continued to spread the news about the messiah. They felt it was a privilege to suffer for Christ.

Questions
- This might be a strange question to start us off. What is the worst thing that could happen if you shared the message of Jesus with others?
- Now that you thought about the worst possible thing, would it be worth it, considering all the potential good that could come about as a result?
- Name one person who needs to hear the message about Jesus. Will you share the message about Jesus with them? What concerns do you have about doing so?
Growth Tip
Jon: Some of the questions we have received are about learning to love and live for God.
Bradon: We love the people that matter to us, and they matter to us because we invest our time, energy and emotion in them for their good! It is no different with God.
Jon: Right, the more we care about the things that God cares about, the more we put time and energy into those things, the more we want to love and live for God.
Bradon: We see this within the apostles. The more they resolve to share the message about Jesus. The more time, energy and emotion they put into it, the more they want to love and live for God!
Jon: To the point where suffering for Jesus is a privilege.
Bradon: Our tip is simply this. Share the message about Jesus. Count the cost and do it anyway. There is a tremendous number of people who need Christ but don’t yet know him! They need Jesus, so share the message about him!
