Discussion | Jesus has Risen
Jon: You are listening to the discussion episode for the story, “Jesus has Risen.”
Bradon: Today, we learned that the leading priests and religious leaders made a plan to get Jesus killed. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for money. The crowd was getting out of control, demanding that Pilot crucify Jesus. After a long time Pilot gave in to their request and ordered his soldiers to crucify Jesus. After Jesus was crucified and died, a man named Joseph placed him in a tomb on a Friday. By Sunday, when to ladies went to the tomb, they were met by an angel and later by Jesus himself. We learned that Jesus died, has risen back to life and is alive today and offers everyone eternal life!

Questions
- Jon: Romans 6:23 says, ‘For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.’ How do we receive this free gift of eternal life?
- Jon: Romans 10:9 says, ‘If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ What will you be saved from?
- Bradon: Listen carefully to Romans 8:38-39 and share with a friend what you like about verse. ‘And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
Hey friends, we appreciate you listening to us. You know God loves you so much. I am not sure any of us can understand how life-changing his love for each of us truly is. It’s so incredible that he has made a way for each of us to live with him forever, we just have to openly declare Jesus is in charge of our lives and believe that he is not dead but that he is alive today! He loves us so much that he wants to save us from the pain and destructive nature of sin. Sin is so terrible that it will always lead to death and separation from God. In fact, that is a pretty good description of hell, death and separation from God. Thankfully he has offered the free gift of eternal life.
Growth Tip
Bradon: Today, we want you to change something about your bedroom, workspace, or maybe your locker at school.
Jon: Change or add one thing so that it will remind you that Jesus is alive!
Bradon: It could be a picture, a scripture verse written down, or maybe a new plant that will remind you that Jesus is alive and offers you life!
Jon: I like the plant idea! I should get a new plant for my office!
Bradon: Considering your last plant that died in your office, it will take a miracle for this one to survive!
