Discussion | Remember God’s Call

Jon: You are listening to the discussion questions for the Episode titled, There is a God.

Bradon: A nine-foot-tall Philistine warrior, Goliath, was challenging the Israelite army. When David heard about this he accepted the challenge to fight Goliath. He slung a stone at Goliath and then cut off his head with Goliath’s own sword. David predicted that God would give him the victory and that the whole world would know that there is a God in Israel.

Story Episode
1 Samuel 17

Questions

  1. Jon: What  are some things you think God has called you to?
  2. Bradon: What are some things God has called all of us to?
  3. Jon: What do you think about David’s actions in this chapter?

Growth Tip

Jon: Well, community is really important. And we may have said this one a long time ago, but in community, we need to find people who inspire us, people who we want to learn from!

Bradon: Ahh, I agree.

Jon: This person doesn’t always come to mind right away, or they aren’t always obvious. So this week take time to think and pray about who might inspire you to live more like Jesus!

Bradon: Take note of their life, their actions, the way others seem around them, are they a good example of what you think the fruits of living life with Jesus look like?

Jon: Take note, pray, and listen for someone to be inspired by.

Prayer Requests

At the end of your discussion, go around the group and ask for prayer requests.
