Remember God’s Call
Bradon: Have you ever tried to run away from a problem?
Jon: Sure! Run, hide, ignore; I think we can all try and avoid problems from time to time.
Bradon: Oh, I agree; I think we see David struggling with trying to run away in our next chapter.
Jon: Check out the upcoming episode to hear about David fleeing his problems.

About the Story
Jon: Welcome to the Bible Story Podcast! We believe that growing in a relationship with Jesus is the most important thing you can do!
Bradon: We do indeed; you want to know a great way to do that besides listening to this podcast?
Jon: Coming to summer camp!
Bradon: Exactly! – Registration is open online! Everyone can come!
Jon: That’s right! We have weeks for all ages and two long weekends for the whole family!
Bradon: Come and join us! It will be a fantastic summer.
Application
Bradon: But I think I learned something more applicable than I first thought. It took me a few days to get there.
Jon: But that is sometimes how it works. We don’t always walk away knowing exactly how the scripture applies to our lives. It can take time!
Bradon: So, in thinking about this. I see how David is loyal to his people and his call from God to be king.
Jon: Okay, I see.
Bradon: I think we need to remember something. And that will be our lesson for the day. We see David in a pretty tough situation. There are a lot of different directions he could go in dealing with this.
Jon: I agree. He could continue to run; he could abandon his people or sabotage them.
Bradon: Instead, he continually thinks and remembers God’s call. Now, Davids’s call to be king is pretty specific. We don’t all have it that laid out.
Jon: But there are a few calls we all respond to, like sharing the story of Jesus with people.
Bradon: Exactly, so here’s the lesson. Remember God’s Call
Jon: Even when it seems like there is a lot to distract you from God’s character or the path He has for you! I like it. Say it one more time, so it sticks in my memory.
Bradon: Remember God’s Call.
