Times of Doubt
Like Moses, we can have times of doubt. Listening to God is important as he will encourage us when we are aligned with him.
Coming up on the Bible Story Podcast, we step into the burden on Moses as he struggles to see himself intertwined as the leader of the Israelite people in freeing them from Egypt. We empathize with Moses with these doubts and uncertainties and are encouraged by the response and prophecy of the Lord.

About the Story
Bradon: How do you, personally know, you are aligned with God or following His prompts? Like this podcast for instance. We both stepped into it, pretty willingly, but we have been very intentional about allowing God to guide us in this process, but it could be argued that we are just doing this because we like it and we are like, naturally SUPERB at it!
Jon: SUPERB, hey!? Haha, well, I might disagree with that part, But I do appreciate the question; I think that is a good thing to think about! I think it is all about trust. You know, every morning, I pray for my kids and family, and I ask, “Lord, lead and guide all of us.” Since I prayed that, I have to trust God’s leading and guidance throughout our day! Perhaps I find myself in an uncomfortable situation. I trust God to lead and Guide. Perhaps I find myself in a compromising situation. I need to trust God to lead and guide me out of that situation. Maybe I will need to have some words of wisdom. I can trust God to prompt me. If we work hard at following God’s leading and trusting him, 9 times out of 10, we will be in the right place. I could say a lot more on this, but I think I will leave it here for now! Actually, one more thing. I think it is more of God’s act of leading, we just follow!
Application
Jon: Yeah, I would say I know you extremely well. I mean unless all the conversations we have had over the years are lies. You are an honest fellow and I will try my best to follow suit.
Bradon: Okay, perfect! I have been honest too. So, another moment of honesty. And correct me if I am wrong, but you and I think alike every once in a while… just ever so often.
Jon: We do seem to have similar thought patterns… and be distracted by similar things or thoughts. I am unsure of where this is going, but I am intrigued… and a little nervous you are about to say something revealing about me!
Bradon: Here me out. You and I have both spoken, privately and I think on this podcast a time or two about pride. We both enjoy Big dreams, interesting and novel ideas, and find gratitude and passion in our jobs here at Covenant Bay Bible Camp.
Jon: We do. I am in agreeance so far…
Bradon: Well, could you imagine how big our egos would get if we never felt like we were fish out of water? If we thought, no matter what issue, problem, or challenge comes our way, somehow we would be able to navigate it without any help?
Jon: Ohh… yeah. That would not be a good scenario for either of us. And you’re right. We don’t always tend to be the most humble of individuals!
Bradon: Unfortunately hey! We don’t do it out of boastful pride, at least not all the time. I think often our excitement and dreams get ahead of us, and I know for me, I can forget to consider 1) if this is God’s plan or prompt. 2) If this is His, then where do I fit into His plan… Rather than me fitting Him into my plan… Does that make sense?
