What is Your Obsession

Jon: Bradon, long-time listeners, would know you are obsessed with coffee.
Bradon: Oh yeah. And anyone who sees me in the morning with my coffee mug! I do enjoy coffee!
Jon: Today, we will learn three of Paul’s obsessions, and it’s not really on the same level!
Bradon: I love coffee way more whatever it is that Paul loves.

Discussion Episode
Philippians 1:12-30

About the Story

Bradon: Last week, we launched a new series and season. We dove into the thank you letter from Paul to the Philippian Church. This book of the bible is titled Philippians.

Jon: Paul wrote it while on house arrest in Rome, which is somewhat strange because the tone of this letter is overwhelmingly joyful. I am not sure I would write with that much joy if I were locked up!

Bradon: Paul has a lot of enthusiasm and describes well why he is filled with so much joy and passion.

Application

Jon: We looked at three obsessions of Paul. The first is for him to see others sharing the good news about Jesus!

Bradon: Second, he loves God more than anything and wants to be in heaven with God.

Jon: Third, he wants people to live transformed lives regardless of their circumstances or difficulties. The people around us should see that we belong to God, not the world. We are citizens of heaven!

Bradon: There is a lot to unpack. So be sure to join us in the discussion episode.
