Discussion | He is the Son of God.
Bradon: A quick recap and then the questions for the episode “He is the Son of God”
Jon: Simply put, today’s story was more of a conversation or even a speech from John the Baptist. We recognize the significance of this moment. The change it brought and the bold statements being made by John. Claiming that Jesus is the Son of God and that He would be the one to baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Questions
- Have you ever been given credit or affirmation for something that you didn’t do? Do you correct the people or did you accept the recognition?
- John was quick to share the message of Jesus and speak about the Messiah. What do you think gave Him this excitement? Or this need to share the story of Jesus?
- How would you like to respond if you were in John’s shoes or sandals rather? What gets you excited to share the story of Jesus?
Growth Tip
Bradon: The tip for today is this. Start your day with God. Now, I know that not all of us are morning people. Jon can attest… I am not a morning person. I am hardly a person until I have my first few cups of coffee and the sun is well established in the sky.
Jon: very true. Bradon in the morning is a scary thing.
Bradon: But regardless of when you start your morning – 9 am or 4 am. Start your day with God. No matter what that looks like.
Jon: You could choose a worship song to listen to, read a short bit of scripture… listen to this podcast…
Bradon: Exactly, This has been something I have been doing that I have really enjoyed. I have been listening to a podcast on my way to and from work. About 40 minutes each way. I don’t always pay close attention. Nor do I always have an impactful moment. But just the act of bookending my day with this at the beginning and end has been great.
Jon: That is really good. There are so many small things you can do to start your day with God. if you need any ideas hit us up on instagram and we will be happy to share them!
Bradon: We will indeed.
Jon: God honours the time we invite Him into our lives. Giving this a try, even if you are a morning ogre like Bradon is will bring you benefit.
Bradon: It will. I have only been doing this for a month or so and I cannot point out specifically why I like it or what good it is doing but I feel different. Better. It helps focus my day on God and guides some of my wandering thoughts while I drive to brainstorm and dream of God.
