Jon: Today we learned about David – the future king who would eventually replace Saul. We learn David is a small humble boy, who is the youngest of seven brothers. David, through the will of God, is anointed to be king and finds his way to work for Saul after Saul is having difficulty sleeping due to a harmful spirit. David plays the lyre and is hired as the armour-bearer for Saul.

We looked specifically at Samson and we realized that his life was far from perfect yet because of his faith in God people remember him as a good man full of faith. The lesson is from Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
