Join us for a disussion about Jesus who is not only the main character of the book titled John but the main character of life!
We learned that the author refers to Jesus as the Word and that Jesus is God. Jesus existed from the beginning, created everything and gave life to everything. He became human and is full of love and faithfulness and made a way for us to be children of God. We were also introduced to John the Baptist, who prepared the people for Jesus! We learned that the author is saying that Jesus Christ is the main character of life and we are not, and we are now challenged to submit to Jesus as God.

Bradon: Welcome to the discussion Episode for “To the Ends of the Earth.”
Jon: We read through the story of Jesus promising the disciples the Holy Spirit and the guidance that the Spirit brings. Jesus was about to leave and had prepared the disciples for this moment. Jesus reminded the disciples that they had work to do! We need to share the story of salvation with all those who have yet to hear it! A daunting but amazing task!

Bradon: Together, we have just heard the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection; we are now moving into one of my favourite books in the Bible, Acts.
Jon: Coming up on the podcast, we will explore what happened after Jesus’ resurrection and how the disciples carried on His teachings.
Last Episode, we heard about Jesus crucified on a cross. It was a hard story to hear, and it is not over. Coming up on the Bible Story Podcast. We tell the rest of the story, which we believe contains the most significant message ever! It’s huge!
Welcome to the discussion episode for the most significant message ever shared!
We picked up the story with Jesus having been in the tomb for two nights, and on the third day, a few women who were Jesus followers came to anoint his dead body with spices and ointments. When they got to the tomb, they saw the rock rolled away from the entrance, and two angelic beings told them that Jesus was alive. He was no longer dead. They rushed back to the 11 disciples, who did not believe the women at first. Peter ran to the tomb and checked out things for himself, and then he believed. We were challenged to find the evidence in our lives that Jesus is alive today!

Jon: You are listening to the discussion episode for the Story Jesus bore the sins for many.
Bradon: We heard the story of Jesus going from the last Passover meal where he again predicted his death than to praying at the mount of olives, was betrayed by Judas and arrested by the Romans. He had an unfair trial before the Jewish religious leaders and was sentenced to death under Pontius Pilot’s judgment. Ultimately, they killed Jesus, crucifying him on a cross. Although the disciples were ready to fight the injustice of Jesus’ sentencing, Jesus stopped any fight and accepted it even though he had done nothing to deserve death.

Coming up on the Bible Story Podcast will be a harrowing story to hear but is very important.
Good word, “Harrowing!” meaning difficult, sad and disturbing – acutely distressing.
We are going to learn that Jesus bore the sins of many. And, Jesus was the only one who could do this!
